Established in 1885, shaping generations of leaders

Raja Balwant Singh College, Agra was established by Raja Balwant Singh Ji of Awagarh state in 1885 as Balwant Rajput High School. The Balwant Educational Society was created in order to safeguard the interest of this institution. At present Raja Balwant Singh College, Agra, is spread over 1000 acres of land and 5 campuses. The college is having a number of faculties including Arts, Science, Education, Library Science and Agriculture and teaching at postgraduate level is done in as many as 31 subjects.

The college also has 6 agriculture projects funded by ICAR, New Delhi and Ministry of Agriculture, Govt. of India including two Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs). It is supposed to be the largest college of Asia Pacific region as far as the area covered and number of subjects taught are concerned. Most importantly, in the year 2017, the college has added one more feather to its cap by getting accredited as A+ by NAAC and thereby becoming the only college of the entire state of Uttar Pradesh to get A+ Grade from NAAC. The pace of development of the college from 1940 onwards has almost been breath-taking and is apparent from its gigantic stature presently.
