Our Library

Library – RBSMTC College

A Knowledge Resource Centre for Academic Growth

The library at Raja Balwant Singh Management Technical Campus is designed to serve as one of the most important academic resources on campus, supporting students and faculty through access to quality learning materials, research references, and digital information tools. In higher education, a library is far more than a reading room it is a space where academic curiosity develops, independent learning becomes stronger, and students gain the habit of exploring knowledge beyond classroom teaching.

At RBSMTC, the Central Library has been developed to meet the academic needs of students enrolled in management, computer applications, and professional programs. The institute recognizes that strong academic performance depends on regular access to updated books, journals, and reference material, which is why the library remains an essential part of campus learning infrastructure.

The Central Library of the institute is well equipped with modern facilities and services. It is air-conditioned and spacious with a seating capacity of more than 100 users at a time. To cater to the scholarly information needs of its users, library has a strong collection of print as well as digital information resources. The Library has about 15,000 books, 40 journals, 30 magazines, leading newspapers, CD/DVD, several dissertations, theses, and reports etc. The digital information support and web based services are provided through user terminals.

Rich Collection of Print and Reference Resources

The library offers a strong collection of printed academic resources that support course learning, examination preparation, and advanced subject understanding. Students have access to textbooks, reference books, academic publications, and professional reading material across multiple disciplines.

The current collection includes:

  • Around 15,000 books
  • 40 academic journals
  • 30 magazines
  • Leading daily newspapers
  • Dissertations, theses, and reports

This wide collection allows students to consult multiple sources while studying a topic, which improves conceptual clarity and encourages broader academic thinking. The presence of journals and dissertations also helps learners understand how formal research is presented and structured in higher education.

Digital Access for Modern Learning

In addition to printed material, the library supports digital learning through user terminals and web-based academic services. This digital information support allows students to access online content, search academic material efficiently, and work in a technology-supported environment that reflects modern educational practices.

The integration of digital resources is especially valuable for students who need updated information for assignments, projects, presentations, and research work. By combining physical and digital resources, the library creates a balanced academic support system that responds to current educational needs.

A Quiet and Comfortable Study Environment

The physical environment of the library is carefully planned to encourage concentration and disciplined study habits. A spacious reading area, organized shelving, and comfortable seating help students spend productive academic time without distraction.

Because the library accommodates more than 100 readers simultaneously, students can use the facility individually or during group academic preparation periods. The air-conditioned environment further supports long study sessions, particularly during examination periods and project work.

One of the most important roles of the library is encouraging students to become independent learners. Classroom teaching provides direction, but libraries help students explore subjects in greater depth.

Students regularly use the library for:

  • Reference reading
  • Project preparation
  • Competitive exam study
  • Academic report writing

This process strengthens analytical ability and builds long-term academic confidence.
